Fantasy Road Tours magically blends red carpet and blacktop, as you’re not only transported over the best motorcycle roads of the present day, but through history itself, in only the finest of style.

Route 66 Shield You'll walk in the footsteps of past explorers and mavericks that defined and defied the untamed land in their day. From John Wesley Powell, the tycoons of the glory days of mining boom-towns, to the modern-day pioneers of Historic Route 66. Heed the whispers of the past, and leave your own unique imprint on this historic Black Leather/Black Tie Affair.

Carving Through Each Day's Details:

Day 1

Colony Palms-Pool You'll arrive your first day in Palm Springs, CA, where we'll pick up the bikes and you'll savor your first meal with your fellow riders, then spend your first night at the Colony Palms Hotel. Originally dubbed The Colonial House by reputed mobster owner Al Wertheimer, this Spanish Colonial style hotel began receiving guests in 1936 featuring plenty of sunshine, a good night's rest, as well as a legendary underground speakeasy and brothel. The hotel was renamed The Howard Manor in the late 1940's when Robert and Andrea Leeds Howard (owners of the champion thoroughbred Sea Biscuit) took possession. For the next 25 years the hotel was a haven for young Hollywood in Palm Springs.

Day 2

London Bridge
After a wonderful breakfast at the Colony Palms Hotel, your excitement builds immediately, knowing you’re ready for the trip of your life! We’ll crank up the bikes and start our journey to Joshua Tree National Park, where a fascinating variety of plants and animals make their home in this land shaped by strong winds, unpredictable torrents of rain, and climatic extremes. Dark night skies, a rich cultural history, and surreal geologic features add to the attraction. Then we'll head to the quaint & picturesque Lake Havasu, AZ. Remember London Bridge? You’ll end the day by riding across this historic international landmark as we pull into the luxurious Agave Inn. You’ll enjoy the view of the Bridgewater channel and London Bridge right from your hotel room!

Day 3

Grand Hotel From the London Bridge we navigate to the grandeur of the Grand Canyon. Along the way, we’ll get your first sample of the wonderful delights of the famous Route 66 highway. Once we arrive at the Grand Canyon, we’ll lodge at the Grand Hotel, which was built in 1998 and resembles a sprawling, three-story chalet. All 121 rooms are decorated in bright, Southwestern decor and come with large windows and plenty of amenities. Our Fantasy Road Tours guests are invited to use the indoor pool, hot tub and adjacent fitness center to work out any kinks from our day's ride.

Day 4

Grand Canyon Today the majesty of the Grand Canyon will be revealed, as you flow like the Colorado; leaning into hair-pin turns, carving through every angle and savoring every breath-taking view. Make sure you've brought your camera! We'll spend the entire day drinking in hundreds of views, both on your bike and off, as we get those great shots you'll show your grandkids!

Tonight, we complete our Day's Journey in opulent Sedona, AZ. Sedona Rouge Resort You will know immediately there is something different, sophisticated and very authentic about the style and design of the Sedona Rouge Resort & Spa. The architecture and interior design clearly emanate Mediterranean and North African influences. Tonight is the night for indulging your Black Tie Fantasies and retreating into your own personal sanctuary.

Day 5

SnowCap Route66 Today your bike transports you not just down the road, but through time itself. Your historic experience takes you through the centuries, from ageless caverns, to the mining ghost towns of the past century, to this centuries' glory days of Route 66.

LaughlinNV After honoring our predecessors' past presence, we end the day in Laughlin. This oasis was established in the 1940's, and its early visitors were gold and silver miners. Maybe you can do a little mining of your own at the casino hotel if you wish. Who knows, you might even win enough to pay for your trip!

Day 6

Route 66 Road Today is all about the road. The rollercoaster road to be exact. This stretch of Route 66 is the most deserted, and the most fun to ride, with lots of hills and bumps. You'll be reminded of what it used to be like, when the road followed the land, before freeways were built.

Film Buffs may remember an obscure film from 1988 called "The Baghdad Cafe." We'll visit the famous cafe where the Bagdad Cafe movie was filmed and enjoy a tasty bite. We will also pay homage to some other classic Route 66 landmarks throughout the day, such as the Barstow El Rancho motel, before ending our day in Victorville.

Day 7

Sadly, today we must return to reality. But not without a fight! We'll jump on our rides and head back via another historic time capsule, this time the little town of Pioneertown, Pioneertown Post Office a real town, complete with post office, where many old westerns were filmed. We'll savor our final meal of the tour at Pappy and Harriet's, and who knows, if time allows, maybe even get in a game of bowling at the Pioneertown bowling alley before reluctantly returning to civilization!
